David CH Austin, breeder, specialist grower and author, has introduced over 200 English Roses since his first variety, the fragrant but once-flowering climbing rose Constance Spry, was released in 1961. His graceful shrub and climbing garden roses are some of the most varied and versatile of all roses. David Austin senior is shown on the right with one of his yellow climbing roses, Graham Thomas. This was voted the World's Favorite Rose in 2009 by 41 national rose societies.

David Austin Roses was established in 1969 and remains a family-owned business today, with David JC Austin working alongside his father as the company's Managing Director. We have offices in England, Europe and Japan as well as Tyler, Texas. Over the last 15 years, David Austin Roses has been working to create an entirely new kind of cut rose. These combine the charming character of old roses with a vase life of at least five days and the year-round availability of modern roses.
