Climbing Roses
Climbing roses generally have larger flowers which are held singly or in small groups, compared to the clusters of small flowers characteristic of ramblers. Most climbing roses have the ability to repeat flower after their first flush of bloom.
Illustrated on this page are a selection of climbing roses which vary from around 12 ft to over 25 ft in height.

What is the difference between climbers and ramblers?
English Climbing Roses
In recent years, it has become clear than some of the English Roses make excellent short climbers.

English climbers produce flushes of large, fragrant rosettes over a long season. They have the wonderful natural ability to flower very close to the ground, producing a generous number of stems from the base of the plant. We believe that they are some of the finest of all climbing plants, ideal when a smaller climber is required (6ft to 12 ft).
