The rose illustrated was bred by David Austin, who commissioned the watercolour. The flowers of ‘Strawberry Hill’ are pure rose pink, in cupped rosette forms of superb quality. There is a strong and delicious myrrh and heather honey fragrance. This extremely healthy variety makes a splendid shrub or short climber where it will reach up to 8ft (2.5m).
