All Gift Experiences are held at the David Austin Roses Plant Centre in Albrighton. Vouchers will be supplied which the recipient can exchange for a session of their choice. Places on each course are limited, so we ask recipients to book their dates with us in advance.

Garden Design Days
Our Design Days are the ideal gift for anyone who would like help to get started on a garden design project. They provide inspiration, advice and encouragement and offer a mixture of group and individual advice. The subjects covered include basic planting concepts and themes, how to blend colours in the garden, the use of combination planting, selecting plants for fragrance, the use of height and how to use specimen plants. There’s also ideas on planting to get your garden off to a flying start and tips on low maintenance gardening.

Pruning Sessions
Pruning a rose is so simple that we are always sorry to hear that this subject continues to be a cause of unnecessary angst for so many gardeners. Our half day pruning courses are the ideal way to learn the basics and perhaps pick up a few more advanced techniques too. Courses are enjoyable, creative and are designed to help the gardener get the very best performance out of their roses. The recipient is free to select their preferred day from the list available on our website and may choose an afternoon or morning session.

Special Afternoon Teas
Visitors to our nursery in Albrighton can enjoy a Traditional Afternoon Tea, served at 3 o'clock each day in our Tea Rooms. This is a great way to celebrate an anniversary or birthday - or simply a chance to relax in style with close friends and family. Our menu changes throughout the year to reflect seasonal produce and themes.

They appear in Sally Page's book 'Flower Shops & Friends' which features a visit to our Plant Centre, gardens and Tea Room. Harlow Carr bears flowers of the most perfect formation - shallow cups of the purest rose pink.
The plant has an excellent bushy habit, maturing into an attractively rounded shrub with its flowers almost to ground level. The whole plant is of truly ‘Old Rose’ character.
