Events at David Austin's Plant Centre

Roses are regularly voted England's best loved flowers - and it is hardly surprising, as few other flowers can provide so much pleasure over such a long time. We offer a series of courses and events during the year to help you learn more about these fascinating flowers, and to help you gain even more pleasure from growing them. All our events are held at David Austin's Plant Centre and Rose Gardens, Bowling Green Lane, Wolverhampton, WV7 3HB.

Roses and Clematis Talk and Lunch
|
Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th May.
10am or 1pm
Join a morning or afternoon talk on selecting clematis as the perfect companion plant for English Roses. Sessions will be hosted by one of our horticultural experts, either Di Perry or Ros Barker, who will guide you through planting and variety advice.
Each talk will include a two course lunch with coffee. £14.95 per person.

Sunday 9th June
Our neighbours will be hosting their traditional air show on Sunday 9th June. Please be aware that our gardens will be much busier than usual.
A £7.50 car parking charge applies on this day only, which is redeemable against purchases of plants and gifts from the Plant Centre.
Due to the extra visitors in the local area on this day, and potential traffic congestion, we advise you to allow extra travelling time to reach the nursery.

Rose Walk and Talk Evenings

Friday 14th June and Wednesday 3rd July 2013
7pm for 7.15pm
The David Austin Rose Gardens usually close at 5pm but we are providing the opportunity for you to join us for a 'Rose Walk and Talk' evening, whilst enjoying a glass of rosé wine.
Our rose experts will conduct an informative tour of the rose gardens and will be on hand to advise on selecting and caring for your roses.
£10 per person including a glass of wine.

Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th June.
2pm and 3.30pm
Visitors are invited to join our free garden tours, which will take place during the afternoon at 2pm and 3.30pm. No reservation is needed - just turn up on the day to enjoy the scents of summer.

Strawberry Weekend - Lunch & Garden Tour

Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th July
11.30am
Enjoy a tour of our beautiful rose gardens and a delicious summer lunch combined with vintage entertainment, for a quintessential English summer's day experience.
The garden tour will commence at 11.30am providing an insight into the beauty and scent of the English Roses. Strawberry cocktails will be served in the gardens at 12.15pm prior to a two course lunch menu which will focus on classic English seasonal ingredients.
Following lunch you will be able to enjoy the gardens at your leisure whilst listening to local vintage singer, Sarah Raymond, who will perform renditions of classic numbers from 1.30pm onwards. A wonderful excuse to dress-up in vintage summer-finery (although not compulsory!), making it a special occasion to enjoy with friends and family.

Our Plant Centre and Rose Gardens are open 7 days a week. We recommend that you check our Plant Centre web pages before visiting us as we update our schedule regularly.
We are sorry that we can only accept coach parties midweek and by prior arrangement.
