Cornelia
David Austin Recommended Variety

Category Shrub Roses
  (Hybrid Musks)
Bred By Pemberton
Colour Coppery-apricot / Coppery-pink
Flower Type Double/Full Bloom
Hardiness Hardy
Fragrance Strong
Repeating Good

A very beautiful variety, bearing sprays of small, formal, rosette-shaped blooms. These start as coppery-apricot, gradually fading to a creamy shade of coppery-pink, creating a beautiful mixture of colours. Each bloom has a distinct cluster of yellow stamens. It is very fragrant – the perfume carrying far. ‘Cornelia’ repeat flowers very well and produces large sprays of bloom in the autumn on strong new stems from the base of the plant. It forms a fine, shapely shrub with good, quite small, dark green foliage. Introduced by Pemberton in 1925. 5 x 5 ft.
