Rosemoor (Austough) David Austin Recommended Variety
A particularly charming little rose that bears small, perfectly formed, rosette shaped flowers that have something in common with the old Centifolia Rose, ‘De Meaux’. The colour is a lovely soft pink - deeper at the centre; lighter towards the edges. As the flower ages it pales a little and reveals a tiny green eye which provides a most pleasing effect. Rosemoor is quite upright in growth yet bushy and it flowers with remarkable freedom and continuity. All in all, a rose of true Old Rose character in flower, leaf and growth. It makes an ideal choice for the front of the border or for a more formal setting, where its beauty and fragrance can be appreciated to the full. There is a strong fragrance that seems to suit the character of the flower perfectly. This is basically an Old Rose fragrance, with additional hints of apple, cucumber and violet leaf. Named after the beautiful R.H.S. garden in Devon in the south-west of England. 3.5 ft x 2.5 ft.
