"Every David Austin® rose begins its journey long before it reaches your garden. It is shaped by decades of careful breeding, nurtured by experienced hands and grown with patience, carrying with it a promise that extends far beyond the day it arrives."
For more than sixty years, we have dedicated ourselves to breeding roses of exceptional beauty, fragrance and health. Every variety begins in our renowned Shropshire breeding programme before being grown in our U.S. fields, where each plant is carefully tended and prepared for life in your garden.
When you choose a David Austin® rose, you're choosing more than a beautiful plant. You're choosing the people who bred it, the experts who grew it and a team that will continue to support you long after planting day.
We have complete confidence in every David Austin® rose we grow. That is why every rose purchased directly from David Austin® is covered by our Five-Year Guarantee when planted in suitable conditions and at the appropriate time for your region.
Because planting conditions vary across the United States, we recommend planting when air temperatures are between 40°F and 70°F at your planting location. If you request shipment outside your area's recommended planting window, the guarantee cannot apply.
Should your rose fail to establish within the guarantee period, our Customer Care team will work with you to understand what has happened and guide you through the claims process. Our aim is always the same: to help you enjoy a healthy, flourishing rose for years to come.
For additional information, please review FAQs below and our Terms & Conditions here
Our guarantee covers roses purchased directly from David Austin Roses that fail to establish within five years of purchase. Every claim is carefully reviewed by our rose experts before a replacement is arranged where appropriate.
The guarantee is valid for five years from the date of purchase.
We'll ask for your order number together with clear photographs showing the condition of your rose. This allows our rose experts to assess your claim as quickly as possible.
If your original variety is unavailable, we'll recommend a suitable alternative of equal value wherever possible.
Each claim is assessed individually by our Customer Services team, who will be happy to advise you based on your circumstances.
Not always. Many common rose problems can be resolved with the right care. Before arranging a replacement, our rose experts will often provide advice to help your rose recover.
If you believe your rose is a David Austin® variety, our team may be able to identify it from photographs, although this is not always possible.
Our relationship with you doesn't end when your order arrives.
